D3Plus by Bio-Tech Pharmacal may work to maintain strong bones by providing vitamin D and other important nutrients. First‚ every serving contains 5‚000 IU (international units) of vitamin D3‚ which is also known as cholecalciferol; as the active form of vitamin D‚ cholecalciferol might be easier to absorb than other forms of the vitamin. In addition‚ this supplement also contains several minerals that can serve as vitamin D cofactors; for example‚ zinc and boron may promote bone health by working with vitamin D to encourage calcium absorption.
